More than half of the continent’s population will be in Africa by 2050. With such rapid growth, Africa needs more entrepreneurs than ever before to create job opportunities and drive economic development, and they can do that when they are resilient. That’s why the Startup Business Festival’s technique is making entrepreneurship fashionable and attainable, revolutionizing traditional business models to keep up with the population boom.

We are delighted to announce the inaugural annual symposium of the Startup Business Festival, scheduled to take place from September 25th to 28th, 2023. This symposium serves as a prelude to the larger Startup Business Festival, a premier event dedicated to exploring and advancing the realm of entrepreneurship. Over the course of four days, our symposium will specifically center on the dynamic landscape of technology entrepreneurship across the environmental, financial, social, and creative & cultural sectors. This event promises to be a unique platform for industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts to engage in insightful discussions, gain invaluable knowledge, and foster meaningful connections in the ever-evolving world of startups.

This year’s theme, “Resilience and Launch Fest,” underscores the critical importance of resilience in entrepreneurship to drive sustained growth and prosperity. “Launch Fest” embodies our collective commitment to rebuilding a stronger economy and shaping the future of Africa. To achieve these goals, we are dedicated to equipping entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and knowledge required to establish resilient startups. Our event aims to foster a robust community comprising entrepreneurs, investors, community leaders, industry pioneers, and thought leaders, all united in their dedication to nurturing an environment conducive to entrepreneurial excellence. Together, we aspire to craft a brighter future and empower entrepreneurs to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.

This virtual event, comprising panel discussions, presentations, and more, represents a pivotal step in our journey toward fostering economic sustainability. In tandem with the forthcoming festival scheduled for November, the symposium aspires to play a crucial role in the establishment of a vibrant Pan-African entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our collective mission emphasizes the significance of collaboration and endeavors to render entrepreneurship not only accessible but also a fashionable pursuit. Together, we aim to cultivate an environment where entrepreneurship thrives, ensuring its vital contribution to the sustained prosperity of our region.

This symposium stands as a collaborative effort, proudly partnering with esteemed entities including the Startup Business Campus, Eagles Ring Investment platform, Imvelisi, Young Social Entrepreneurs Network, and the Fintech Startup Accelerator programme. As we embark on this collective journey, we extend an invitation for collaboration and sponsorship opportunities, for the festival scheduled for 1st to 30th of November, within the Startup Business Festival ecosystem. Your support and engagement are pivotal in driving our shared mission of promoting entrepreneurship and economic advancement, making a lasting impact in our vibrant entrepreneurial community.
